With many different lords and kingdoms in Mount and Blade: Bannerlord, it can be easy to get lost in all the information. One feature in the game is an encyclopedia which updates with information in the game.
This guide will show you how to open the encyclopedia in Mount and Blade: Bannerlord and get the most out of the information it provides. Using the in-game encyclopedia you can find the location of any NPC in Mount and Blade: Bannerlord.
How to Open the Encyclopedia in Bannerlord
The encyclopedia is n invaluable source of information in Mount and Blade: Bannerlord. There are a few different ways you can open it. You can open the encyclopedia by;
- Pressing the N key by default
- Opening the Party menu (P) and right-clicking any troop portrait
- Visiting a town and left-clicking any highlighted text
- Left-Clicking any ‘Heroes’ name when conversing with them
Any time you enter the encyclopedia through clicking text you will be sent to that relevant page. For example, selecting a town name will send you to that town’s page where you can see who is the ruler clan and how the town is doing economically.
By right-clicking any of the troops in your party you will be able to view that unit’s troop tree. This will show what units these troops upgrade into. You can navigate to any part of the encyclopedia after you have entered it once.
How to Find Any NPC in Bannerlord With the Encyclopedia
One of the best things you can use the encyclopedia for is to find any NPC in the game. Along with information about their kingdom, clan and family, the encyclopedia provides valuable information about where the character was seen last. To view this, search for the character you want to find in the search bar within the encyclopedia. This can be found at the very top right of the encyclopedia menu.
Once you have found the character’s page you want to locate check on the top/mid right of this page to see where their last seen location was. This will be viewed as “Last seen at ‘X location’, ‘x’ days ago”. You can use this information to track down the NPC you are looking for.
If you need to find where this settlement is, you can select it inside this page. You will then be sent to the settlement page. Now, select the button above the image which reads Track. Once a settlement has been toggled as tracked you can zoom the map right out and find where this settlement is.
