Today we are going to share a bit of knowledge on the best armor that you can currently get in Valheim. Valheim is a difficult game. With enemies waiting on every corner to defeat you, you’ll have to be prepared when it comes to fighting. Luckily, there are multiple different sets of armor and upgrades that are available to the player, should they collect the right resources.
Today we are going to go through the best armor in the game, the padded armor set, and show you how you can craft this armor for yourself, what stats they have and what materials you are going to need in order to upgrade this high defense gear.
At What Stage Can You Get The Padded Armor?
The main progression of Valheim is to find good materials, craft strong equipment, defeat the forsaken of that area and then progress on to new equipment and repeat. Being the strongest armor in the game, you can expect the padded armor set to be the end goal of your material collecting. In order to craft the padded armor, you are going to need to get your hands on some iron and linen thread.
This may suppose most players considering that iron is not the last metal that is available to acquire. You can find iron in the swamps which would be the third biome that you can progress to in a normal playthrough of the game. Funnily enough there are two other metals that can be acquired after iron, but aren’t used to craft the best armor.
Iron is easy to get, Linen thread, on the other hand, is not. Linen thread is one of the last crafting materials you will find in Valheim. You can only acquire this material if you have beaten the fourth forsaken in the game and collected the crafting materials that they drop. I will include some helpful links just below this section so you can figure out exactly what you are going to need in order to get the materials for the best armor in the game.
